Thanks Manu for driving this release! However, I just found two issues introduced by the release workflow [1]:
1. The signing key DD1E0F...01BCFE is not present in https://downloads.apache.org/parquet/KEYS. Importing exactly that KEYS file and running gpg --verify fails with "No public key". The key must be added to the Parquet KEYS file. 2. The staged parquet-1.18.2-source-release.zip contains an entire thrift-0.25.0 build tree, including 41 compiled .o/.a files (~222 MB uncompressed) and an ~80 MB x86-64 ELF thrift executable. This is not a source-only artifact and is not equivalent to the tagged source tree. Let's fix all of these before proceeding with the release.
