Andreas Lehmkühler commented on PDFBOX-1527:
--------------------------------------------

I guess a lot of people are waiting for a highlevel api to create pdfs using
PDFBox. So, maybe the PdfLayoutMangager would be a good starter.

[[email protected]] I'm not sure if I understood your point regarding
contributing/merging/licensing. Contributing substantial changes as patch would
require a CLA. But that's no longer relevant as you removed your patch.
Meanwhile you've published the code in question via GitHub under the AL 2.0
license. Legally spoken, we are now able to merge the code without asking you
or PlanBase. So what exatly is your point, don't you/PlanBase want us to
include the code or are you not allowed to help us with improvements/fixes
after a possible merge because of any legal/financial restrictions?

> PlanBase and I would like to contribute our line-breaking, page-breaking,
> table cell, and transliteration code to the PDFBox project. I think someone
> on the mailing list asked me to open an issue here and attach a patch, so
> that is what I'm doing.
