Michele Balistreri commented on PDFBOX-2796:
--------------------------------------------
I see. So what about my second proposal, of ignoring failure to decrypt
COSString objects (maybe with logging), assuming that they simply are plain
text already? Should I work on that?
Just to clarify, I have files where /TU is plain, I cannot share them but they
do exist so maybe this happens also for other entries...
> SecurityHandler should not try to decrypt TU entries

> The SecurityHandler should not try to decrypt TU entries, just like it does
> not decrypt CONTENTS of signatures. Patch attached.
> Unfortunately I cannot share the file which shows the problem with the
> current behavior. The issue is that it tries to decrypt something not
> encrypted in the first place.
