[~johanneke] I've added the changes from your patches leaving out the pure
formatting changes with the following exceptions:
- didn't use StringUtils
- PDTextStream has been removed (as there were issues with the current code) so
I changed the setters/getters to use String instead
- added some missing JavaDoc
please verify if it works for you.
