I tried disabling the spooler on my printer but this made no difference, the
patterns get printed.
As I said in the previous issue, PDFBox itself makes no difference how you're
printing.
Please create a file that reproduces the problem. If you can't share your
files, please append your demo file (with the PDFMerger command line utility)
to one of the PDF files in the zip files at
http://digitalcorpora.org/corp/nps/files/govdocs1/zipfiles/
Btw you don't need itext to split files. PDFBox can do this too with the
{{Splitter}} class and the PDFSplitter command line utility.
