Hi everyone,

I think we are ready to press on with an RC1 for Pekko Connectors 1.0.0.

This is a continuation of a previous thread [1] but we should start a
specific thread for discussing specific module releases.

Matthew de Detrich is suggesting that we should wait until Slick 3.5.0
is ready - and this depends on Scala 3.3.1 being released. This should
hopefully happen within the next few weeks but the Scala 3.3.1 release
has gone through quite a few RCs. After those releases, we should be
able to add Scala 3 support for the Slick connector.

The Play Framework is apparently waiting on this Scala 3 support in
the Slick connector.

My view is that we can release Pekko Connectors 1.0.0 with what we
have. There are people asking about this release on various channels.
We can release a 1.0.1 release in a few weeks with the Slick Scala 3
support.

Pekko Connectors is basically 40 connectors, many of which are quite
unrelated to each other. We are likely going to have to do more
releases of this repo than for other repos.

Getting Pekko Connectors 1.0.0 out allows us to press on with
releasing Pekko Persistence Cassandra 1.0.0 and generally pressing
onto getting the other repos released.

I'd be interested in the community opinions on this topic. If there
aren't many opinions expressed then the default position will be to
delay the Pekko Connectors release and generally to pause releases for
a while.
