I had always assumed that the general Apache announce list was for end-users rather than developers, and should only be used for production releases. However, that is up to M&P to determine. As to announcing an RC (Release Candidate) - those should never even be uploaded to the download area, let alone be announced outside the developer community as they have not been approved for release. > We have not seen any significant issues with our suite of 1.1.0-M1 > releases but we have been warning users that they should be careful > about using them in production. > > > [1] https://lists.apache.org/thread/85zclw86dgvbf1kxckqx0ckm4x4021rt > [2] https://lists.apache.org/thread/grfvvyb2ym4sjyd9mkchv99771xdbno9 > > On Tue, 23 Jul 2024 at 13:31, sebb <seb...@gmail.com> wrote: > > > > On Tue, 23 Jul 2024 at 13:22, PJ Fanning <fannin...@apache.org> wrote: > > > > > > The Apache Pekko Team is happy to announce the release > > > of Apache Pekko Persistence Cassandra 1.1.0-M1.
