Coolio ;) Please try again with the current cvs, I have just committed the changes with some extra polish just to make sure I didn't break anything at the last moment. I have disabled the tracing by default. It's now smoking, in the morning I will upload a release candidate and let folks it churn it over the weekend.
Still works for me.
I've just rebuilt Apache (2.0.47), Perl (5.8.1!!!) and mp2 (CVS) from scratch. Everything straight out-of-the-box with no hacking, and in Release mode now too. I still have the whole testsuite passing successfully :-)
