Subject: [VOTE] Release of Apache Phoenix 4.2.0 RC1
Hi everyone,
This is a call for a vote on Apache Phoenix 4.2.0 RC1. This is the
next minor release of Phoenix compatible with the 0.98 branch of
Apache HBase with feature parity against the upcoming Phoenix 3.2.0
release. The release includes both a source-only release and a
convenience binary release.
In addition to 50+ bug fixes, the following new features were added:
- Statistics collection to improve query performance[1]
- Semi/anti joins (IN and EXISTS subqueries)
- Correlated subqueries (with some restrictions)
- Optimized parent/child join execution
- Annotated connection properties included in tracing and logging
- Local immutable indexes to decrease network IO
- Delete support for tables with immutable rows
- New operators and built-ins: ILIKE (case insensitive LIKE), REGEXP_SPLIT
