Samarth Jain commented on PHOENIX-3121:
---------------------------------------

Yes, the limit clause. We don't muck around with setting the scanner cache size
i.e. we are using the default value of 100. Is the 2mb chunk size change part
of 0.98.20 too? If yes, then we are using the default value for it too. We ran
into this issue in our SFDC environment. Trying to see if I can reproduce this
in a standalone test.

> org.apache.hadoop.hbase.UnknownScannerException:
> org.apache.hadoop.hbase.UnknownScannerException: Unknown scanner '644116'.
> This can happen due to any of the following reasons: a) Scanner id given is
> wrong, b) Scanner lease expired because of long wait between consecutive
> client checkins, c) Server may be closing down, d) RegionServer restart
> during upgrade.
> If the issue is due to reason (b), a possible fix would be increasing the
> value of'hbase.client.scanner.timeout.period' configuration.
