Ok I am not advocating a regression. What I think we need is a configuration 
toggle that makes a system with distributed UPSERT SELECT act like an earlier 
version without the capability. As you know a perf test will not guarantee we 
find ourselves in a production incident that needs fast remediation. Features 
that can produce cross server RPC and attendant issues need an off switch to 
aid in recovery of stability. Just as a rule, IMHO
