It should be possible to do so. I had a look and the main difference should be Adressing and using only a subset of the modbus functions. I would probably still recommend a different driver module as this makes it easier for inexperienced users to use (would be pretty much the modbus s driver, but wie other defaults, removed tcp support and reduced functions (I think the original modbus uses function codes jbus does not support)
If you want to implement this, it's be happy to mentor you for free, but you would be doing the work. Perhaps someone here is willing to take on the tasks, that's also great. I would be willing to work on this for a donation of let's say 600€ (if you're generally Interested I can setup a campaign on open collective.... There you could motivate others to donate and hereby share the costs) Chris Gesendet von Outlook für Android<https://aka.ms/AAb9ysg> ________________________________ From: Vincent ASTRUC <gvince...@gmail.com> Sent: Saturday, June 21, 2025 7:40:00 AM To: dev@plc4x.apache.org <dev@plc4x.apache.org> Subject: Driver Modbus with JBus Hello, Can we use the driver modbus with JBus protocol with a offset adress.
