Lead on Rich. Thanks for the kick!
I’m willing to remain and be a Pony Mail PMC Member.
Likewise, +1 to graduating and I'm happy to stay on board and more than
happy to support rich for chair.
I can suggest a PMC members list from the PPMC based on whether or not they
remain subscribed to private or we have ever really seen any participation. If
we follow that path then we should discuss on private@
Alternatively we can see who is listening and responds here that they wish to
remain involved.
Best,
Dave

Is anyone interested in being the chair? I’m willing, if not eager, to do so,

Of Ponies, now is your chance.

I was chatting with folks in the PonyMail Slack channel, and, to summarize, I
believe that we have nothing whatsoever to gain by staying in the Incubator
another minute, and that we are actively harming the Incubator’s reputation
every month we stay there. Ten years in the incubator is absolutely absurd. We
should graduate immediately.
I recognize that I have very little standing here, since I’ve done very little
on the project, but with every hat I possess (member, former director, someone
who cares about the Incubator, someone who cares about community development) I
believe it’s dumb to stay in the Incubator.
This project will *never* have a large and vibrant community. Mailing lists are
old-school, and we have a VERY limited potential audience. That’s ok. And
gating on “you haven’t build a big enough community” for graduation means that
we will never graduate.
Enough is enough. 10 years is goofy. I want to propose that we graduate
immediately.
Any objections to me shoving this through the process?
