Either the fix needs to be dropped for versions of ES < 5.0, or the
minimum ES version needs to be updated and documented.
There is also the question of the upper version we support. Elastic has
dropped the support for document types, which PM uses, so newer versions
of ES are also not supported right now.
Perhaps the best thing would be to drop anything below 6.0 and work with
the new design and features in ES >= 6.x instead, as it's getting
increasingly difficult to easily obtain (and maintain) older versions of ES.
