Sure it is great to have another way of distributing OOo to the Mac users out there but I can understand why Eric Bachard isn't happy right now. > No. I disagree : a lot of issues have always to be fixed before > to disperse us. > > If so : > > OpenOffice.org for Mac OSX ( here officially ) > OpenOffice.org for fink > NeoOffice > > Always missing OpenOffice.org for Darwinports... none is candidate ? They showed interest too but I denied. I only offered a stable 1.1.4 at that time but after a while the contact broke. > OpenOffice.org is a too big project to do this now because we are > not yet enough to do the work (and a lot of work is always to > do...). Do you know ? > It's not yet the time, and do this now is not serious, IMHO I completly agree with Eric Bachard here. We don't have an official milestone nor a beta of OOo 2.0 out there but m97 is in fink unstable? What impression do Mac folks out there get? It looks as if the right hand doesn't know what the left hand does and that there is no coordination at all and that everybody is allowed to say I have "official" OOo for Mac OS X and I'm allowed to speak for them. Again we need better communication and organisation of Porting OOo to the Mac!
