Hi,
James McKenzie a crit :
I don't know, sometimes, nothing works...
There is a phrase used quite often in the United States, "Been there,
done that." I work as a Systems Engineer and I have a problem with the
programs I work with that cannot be recreated by the company that makes
the program.
FYI, I'll start a new build this evening, and I'll log everything
(I'll send you the text file)
- what I do
- build breakages + # issues
- used patches + #issues
- changes
Thank you for your assistance. I think the problem is in the
store/source/fileunx.hxx file as IZ 12027 matches my problem.
From clean sources :
gcc --version must be 3.3, not 4.0 !! (if 4.0, please do "sudo
gcc_select 3.3" )
Did this.
mkdir OOo1.1.4
cd OOo1.1.4
export
CVSROOT=":pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:2401/cvs"
cvs -z3 co - SRX645_m54 OpenOffice
+ add gpc, ant-1.6.1, localized helpfiles...etc
Did this.
+ use patch
Which patch?
cd config_office
Did this.
Only if you are using ccache, of course..
export CC="ccache gcc"
export CXX="ccache g++"
Don't use ccache.
./configure + options I gave in precedent post
cd ..
./bootstrap # dmake will be build...
source Macosxenv.Set.sh
Did this. However, is there a difference between using source and .
./Macosxenv.Set.sh?
STOP , please try : echo $BUILD_OS_MAJOR $BUILD_OS_MINOR
Got back 104, which is what I should see, correct?
both 10 and 4 *must* be returned...else, there's a problem.
Now you can begin :
dmake
# make coffee, a lot of coffee. When no more coffee, you can buy beer ;-)
Don't consume alcohol, but I understand. I prefer to get sleep.
*please wait* for the break before to apply a patch : this is
important for us, that the problems are confirmed on IZ. (thank's in
advance to confirm on relative issues).
You are welcome. I can put items on IZ when they happen. I figured out
how to do queries and actually caused problems with Tomcat.
First break will occur in stlport :
Ok. I know about that one and the patches.
-> apply the 2 patches I send you "after" the first problem occurs
I thought I should apply the patches before the breakage, not after like
you advise here. I can reverse them and put everything like when I
checked out the source code.
Later, another will probably arrive in xmlhelp -> see #i37733
For other problems, please post here.
Will do. Do you want me to open an IZ also?
One last,
but very important question, did you upgrade from Jaguar/Panther to
Tiger or did you remove them and then install Tiger?
Clean install of Panther (after a big crash). And update from Panther
to Tiger...
Ok. I bought this machine used and it was cleaned up and restored to
like new. I can do that and then upgrade to Tiger.
Sorry, update Mac OSX 1) is mysterious, 2) depends on the hardware 3)
depends of the already existing disorder ;-)
I agree. I will attempt one more build and then I will reload the
system and then upgrade to Tiger. This may clear up the build problems.
Very respectfully,
James McKenzie
