As you already figured out officially not.

But, here I can only speak for the germanophone native language
project, we, germanophone native lang project, did some tests with
NT4 and figured out the following:

You can install current Milestones when

a) SP 6a (not the old SP6) is installed. The old and the following
SP6 had some bugs so you really need latest SP6a!!!

b) Next get the most current version of IE you can find for NT4 and
SP6. It should be IE 5.5 Service Pack 2 or IE 6. You have to search
a bit for them on the MS downloadsite but they are there. If not
there are some fan sites for NT out there who keep those packages
at hold.

c) latest Java 1.4.2 (with 1.5 there were some problems)

Now install those packages *before* you install OOo.

Install OOo.

Launch it.

It works but not in full! Some new features will not behave as they
are expected to do. When you use Win 2000 or XP those bugs occure.
Since NT4 isn't supported officially by OOo it makes no sense to
file Issues - chances that they are beeing fixed are very very
small.

Current 1.1.4 runs smooth and with a bit of luck with no big
issues.

*Remeber* these are no official SUN or OOo informations. They are
informal and depend on the experiences of three volunteers of
german nativ lang project who tried to install OOo 1.9.xxx using
NT4. No warranty!!!!

Don't blame me if it doesn't work. Again these are all nonofficial
informations.

Regards,
Eric Hoch
