Hi,
For the record, an unofficial version 1.9.112 for Linux PPC, able to run
j2re1.3.1 (some features wont work) or j2re142 from IBM, is available
here : <http://ooo.lab-project.net/~ebachard/Linux_PowerPC/2.0/m_112/>
Of course you can run it without install java. In this case, just some
features like wizards or database wont work ...
Available locales are :
.tar.gz : for locales *it* and *en-US*
.deb : for locales *en-US* , *fr* , *de* and *it*
Install is now as simple as possible : dpkg -i ./*.deb
For uninstall simply do (as root) : rm -rf /opt/openoffice.org1.9.xxx
is enough.
Older version (1.9.xx* will be removed whith m112 installation.
