The first question that come to my mind is: does the document name contain non ascii characters ? If not, the most likely source for this problem is that file locking has been enabled by default in OOo 2.0. Please change the following line in OpenOffice.org 2.0.app/Contents/ openoffice.org/program/soffice

I just tried the #export SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING

with that, automounted home folders work with OpenOffice.
