I might be interested in attempting a port to MachTen using tenon's CodeBuilder MachTen is Mach 4.0 running on top of MacOS 9
and for most everythign looks like vanilla 4.4 BSD it has a rather old GNU build chain.
IS this a feasible project? assuming i can get the dependancys built
for OO? what is the bare minimum I will need as far as a compiler,
other build tools and librarys that will need to be installed before i
could even attempt a build?
I would like ot know because i had the idea earlier today to se if i
couldnt possibly make an OpenOffice distro for MacOS 9 using MachTen to
make it happen. (I would have to charge for the distro though as i
would need to license the MachTen runtime from tenon, is this also a
possibility with licenseing?) Please let me know, I know it is a crazy
idea but i know a lot of people that are still clinging on to MacOS 9
that would be interested in having a cheap modernized office suite.
