Greetings:
Something strange has happened in using NeoO 1.1 after installing
Mac OOo 2.0r3 (not saying there's a correlation, but just giving you
all the facts):
Shortly after applying NeoO's 1.8 2a patch hack, when I boot up NeoO
1.1, clicking on the menu bar wipes it out. You can control tool bar
buttons okay, but hitting anything in the menu bar sends it to
never-neverland. Not exactly sure whether it's attributable to the
1.8 2a patch or 1.8. 2 one because I didn't check it out before. Now
I can't run NeoO at all without zapping it by hitting the menu bar. A
box stating something about "General error dialog.xlc input/output
error" pops up occasionally during those true crashes when NeoO just
stalls instead of just popping out. I did a full disk permissions
thing AND Onyx thing and restarts but no go. I flushed all the haxies
like APE from my menu bar (never gave me trouble before) and
restarted but no go. I even did a roto-rooter on any library and
preferences files containing OOo and Neo but the curse continues. The
only way I can use NeoO 1.1 now is to create tool bar counterparts of
menu bar items, but it gets awkward because habit keeps heading for
the menu bar. For now I'm using Mac OOo till NeoOs issue is
straightened out.
If it means anything, I've been vigorously testing out Mac OOo 2.0r3
lately, and maybe it converted a NeoO file which I saved again as a
.sxw and had subtly changed it enough to gag NeoO somehow?
Also, when I did the latest 1.8 patches I always did it on a fresh
copy of NeoO 1.1 if it means anything.
