the original specification said, that it actually _should_ expand. The code has been changed without adapting the tests (while the change being slightly incompatible, also).

Obviously, we need to ensure that unit tests are executed during building, in a way, that the build fails if a test fails.

I jumped the gun on this one. Apparently in this case '$Default' is used as default and should not be expanded.

That non-expansion of defaults was introduced relatively recently (see CVS log for bootstrap.cxx). Apparently the test case wasn't updated when that change was done.

good, any clues about where this should happen?


In sal/rtl/bootstrap.cxx and sal/rtl/macro.cxx - but not in this case.
