running windows inside vmware on a linux host works as well to
reproduce, don't know about vmware)..

Here at work we have one system with vmware; host OS is WinXP(SP2) and it has a guest OS Win2K installed. If time permits I'll try to install OOo1.1.4 in my lunch break and see if I can duplicate this behaviour...

So when you got vmware and windows, give this issue a try. It is the
oldest uncomfirmed defect around...

June 2004... hmm... very old indeed ;-)
