there are update-scripts in each of the modules directories (e.g. calc/update/c_updt.bas). Running those scripts for the main modules of OOo will give good number of testcases (and test most oof the usual tasks, a user would do).
You can use qatesttool/script/unix/OOoTestRun_unix.sh to run all those tests in a row. Just edit the script an leave only the tests there, you would like to run.
