Hello, First, I would like to say that this is my first post to the lists and am sending this both to the dev list and the user list as I do not know which is a more appropriate place for discussion.
As the subject of this email show, I am curious as to how to add the word count for the entire document to the status bar. I am not sure if this functionality is already present, but my research (Google and searching the ML archives) suggests that it is either not documented or not implemented. There is the possibility that this has been implemented in 2.03/4, but I have no idea if it is. If it has been, please someone point me to the right information. I would be extremely grateful. On the other hand, if it has not, is there any developer who would like to either take this project on or mentor me in adding the functionality (note though I have VERY basic programing skills).
