Hi Santiago,
Rafaella Braconi napsal(a):
Hi Santiago,
I searched for your posting in the tcmrequest list but I cannot find
your request. Did you subscribe the list before posting your request?
This maybe the reason why we did not react to your request...
Anyhow, Petr, Naoyuki, can you please grant Santiago tcm access rights?
According to the list of TCM users, you should have MGR access for
Spanish. If something is not working, please let me know.
Petr, can you please give Santiago some more details on how we perform
l10n testing on Spanish and how best we could coordinate the efforts?
Every Sun/OO.o collaboration testing cycle is announced here on the
list. Then, assignments are made in TCM (by community leads for OO.o
builds testing and by Sun people for internal (StarOffice) testing). In
order to cover as many combinations of languages/platforms/scenarios, we
(Sun) usually wait until the community assignments are made and then
make our assignments for areas that are not (or are less) covered by
community testing.
This is basically how the testing works. We can talk about the
collaboration in more detail right before the next testing cycle - at
that time, we all will have more information about our current resources
and time that we can spend on testing.
However, if you have any questions now, feel free to ask.
Regards,
Petr
Thanks,
Rafaella

Hi,
I was recently designated as qa-lead for our spanish native-lang
community. See issue:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=72907
At our community we would like to see OO.org 2.1 get out of RC status,
and we are willing to work hard for that.
I've been lurking around some days on this list, to see what happened,
and if I could get a better understanding of QA processes. Maho's mail
was a really a big help on that. Also, I've spent some time on the
Wiki, looking for more info.
We would like to start testing on 2.1.0rc2, using TCM framework. I've
sent a mail to tcmrequest, but I couldn't get any answer. How do I get
an account on TCM site?
I would appreciate some orientation of more experienced qa-leads or
testers on what to test first. I've seen some mails on this list
explaining that Sun's engineering team conducts some tests on RC
builds for Sun's maintained languages (I suppose this includes
spanish), and because of that, IMHO some tests could be skipped. This
is true, or not?
As Maho said, expect many, many questions from me. :-)
Best regards,
Santiago Bosio
