Hi everyone :)

After yesterday's l10n QA IRC meeting, I've had a look at the QA pages in the wiki, and basically, we seem to have the information needed. But it also seems that we need to encourage more people to read it.

I've put together a "Testing translations" page:

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Testing_my_translation

to see how the whole process fits together from the translator POV, and to look at the difference beween testing language and testing function. This page links back to the other resources we have: pages on l10n QA, TCM, testtool etc. But there are some resources I can't find.

Do we have pages (not just mailing list messages) anywhere on:

How to translate OpenOffice.org?
Which editors to use, and how?
How to merge new milestones into your current GSI file?
How to use gsi-check?
How to submit a translation?
A list of build mirrors?
How to authorize a build for release?

To avoid people missing the information we do have, I suggest we point all new people to at least one key page, like the l10n localization page in the wiki. Then they have a usable reference, which connects with the other pages. I know I would have found that sort of reference very useful, during this release.

I was rather confused by the meeting, so I'm not entirely sure that the page I've put up represents the facts. But it's a start in sorting them out. ;)
