Oh, Base: I feel your pain. When initally released with 2.0, Base was (IMO) barely alpha quality. Particularly the developer tools were nearly unusably bugridden. I tried to help by doing QA volunteer work on Base. Unfortunately, from a QA volunteer perspective, Base bug reports are difficult, and therefore unrewarding, to triage: the problems people report often require their exact setup, with their custom forms and backend server, to reproduce, or may require specialized knowledge. I gave up reading Base issue reports after awhile, because I was able to evaluate and progress so few of them. I look at a fair number of Calc reports, though, so if you've submited Calc reports that you feel went unanswered or incompetently answered, I'd be happy to take a look. Please email me issue numbers off-list. I think your largest concern is the lack of deadlines. Unfortunately, unless you yourself are the developer, or are paying the developer, the best bug report in the world won't necessarily align the developer's priorities with yours. The good news is that the code is available, and lots of work has been done to make it easier to compile and get started in fixing the bugs which bother you and your customers the most. doug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
