Re-post from releases list
Hi,
I'd like to inform you that no further legacy 1.1.5 builds will be
uploaded to the mirrors. The last build for that release was
Spanish (es). Let's focus our efforts and resources on recent
developer snapshots, betas and RCs.
+1
I'd like to ask for a removal guideline (policy) for discontinued
builds and would like to start the discussion here. Maybe there's a
volunteer who's willing to host discontinued builds instead.
Currently for Mac OS X, we need a build for Mac OS X 10.2 and 10.3 as
legacy builds. The current Mac OS X 10.3 builds are the same as the
10.4 builds. That will change for the next release as we are no
longer supporting Mac OS X 10.3 from the next release.
For information on when the decision was taken, please read <http://
shaunmcdonald131.blogspot.com/2006/11/support-for-mac-os-x-103-to-be-
dropped.html>
The following builds cannot be removed from the mirrors or the
bouncer where appropriate.
For the Mac OS X 10.3 builds (various langs OpenOffice.org 2.1) that
are currently available (through the bouncer) please see <http://
porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11-103.html>
For the Mac OS X 10.2 build (OpenOffice.org 1.1.2) that is still
available on the mirrors (and people still look for), please see
<http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11-102.html> This page
does not use the bouncer.
These build still need to be available until further notice.
After some time [deliberately ambiguous for discussion], it may be
possible to remove the non-English builds.
