Questions:
i) I did not include everybody and his grandma in the cc. Should I?
Is there a list of "1-800" names, one could/should cc to? I know, I
know, it says "USE SPARINGLY" in big letters across the top - but it
would help to have it.
ii) How am I supposed to know when to raise hell and when not? Or
(equivalent) how much?
Uwe Altmann started a wiki pageat
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/How_to_recognize_a_Showstopper .
(But I don't think, we will be ableto give a final answer to thequestion
"how to identifiy a stopper").
The Problem with issue 81318 is, that several issues are involved. Issue
72209 is one of them. But issue 72209 did not occure with default
setting (automatic file extension is on by defaul!). At the other hand
78556 is involved - OOo on windows fails to add correct extension even
if the option is enabled (at least in some cases).
Each of this issues "work as designed" but will lead(together with issue
81318) to data loss in a standard situation.
So - what I'd love to see is more respect to user's claims. i72209 and
i78556 had been closed "as designed" altough the risk of data loss or at
least confusing behaviour had been mentioned. If any of those issues had
been fixed, we now had no stopper.
