Hi Peter and Zhu Lihua,
this is the answer I got from Karl Hong :
Hi,
Stroke and Radical sortings are based on Chinese dictionary, character
set is base on Chinese GB (国标) standard.
Stroke is counted by character, not by word. The rules for those sorting
are well known by Chinese people who know how to find characters from a
dictionary. Here is some information about how to find a character from
Chinese dictionary,

Regards,
Karl.
Hope this helps.

Hi, all,
Select Chinese (simplified) in Language listbox in Options tab in Sort dialog.
There are 4 options in the Options listbox on the right side of Language
listbox.
What the sorting rules of "stroke", "Radical" and "Character set"?
Stroke: Stroke of the first character? or the whole word.
What about same stroke happened?
Radical: What the rules with Radical? What the sequence of Radicals? What
about the same Radical encountered?
Character set: Is the sorting sequence arcording the sequence in the character
set?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Zhu Lihua
