Hi Joost, Thank you very much.
Seems I come to understand with your help. But I have an another question. How to import database? I know MS-Excel has a menu item called "import external data" which can import data from a spreadsheet, text file, database, etc... But I can't found such a entry in calc. Thank you! If you import database content into Calc then the application automatically creates a database range (eg. import1). Within the options of such a named object you can define if the imported database content is saved or if the query is saved within the document only. You can define if formating is kept and if you're allowed to insert cells into that area. If you imported data from a database then you can redo the database query and update your Calc document by using the "refresh range" menu entry. If you want to see what data belongs to that database range then you can use "select range" to select it.
