I don't know who decided the naming of Mac OS X builds, but is it
possible to avoid "RC" in the name for Aqua builds ?
Well I have no control about buildnames - at least, builds without
X11 or AQUA will be identified as AQUA by QATrack now.
This is plain wrong, and leads people to confusion (.. some already
asked for final version in french newsgroups )
Oh- we even had QA-team members suggesting to release 2.4 aqua builds
at the germanophone list :(
Yes, we should be working towards Aqua, but this should not be so until
the build is ready and COMPLETELY tested. See my comment to Eric B. I
live in the QA world and have been the victim of my own push to release
software before it was completely tested. The results were not pretty
and I almost lost my job. That being said, the X11 version is what we
promised to release and it will be released after testing is completed,
not before. If the German group feels that the German release is ready
then they can release it. However, they need to completely test Report
Builder with the release as this seems to be a part of the program.
If the Mac OS X X11 builds are being tested by Sun, then that is much
better, but they also pick up the responsibility for their release.
