This is plain wrong, and leads people to confusion (.. some already
asked for final version in french newsgroups )
I understand your point - it is surely not a Release Candidate and so
this naming can be misleading for people outside the project or not
familiar or up to dates of aqua building.
But those people are not supposed to use release candidates at all so I
see no real problem in this.
On the other hand, the actual meaning ("based upon the code for this
release candidate") is a useful information for all testers. Perhaps we
should try to communicate this meaning instead changing naming
conventions again and again.
