Works fine for me on my Mandriva 2008 Spring, although I have not yet done any 
serious testing. 

Hardware *might* have a bearing, I'm running an AMD x64 machine, the latest 
Mandriva x64 distro with all the latest updates.

Not quite correct. I use the Sun builds exclusively (always have :) ).

Anyhow, I've had no problems installing and running BEA300
