I'm Li Meiying, a tester of RedOffice, but a green hand in the OpenOffice.org community. It's my pleasure to take part in this team and learn from members who have shared their work and experience with other members. Maybe, It will take a long time for me to be familiar with the OpenOffice.org SpreadSheet.
I think I can do something very well for our group.

Welcome Mei Ying ! :)

As you can see from previous posts, we have several new members. I have also just invited Joormana Brahma from the l10n list. So this is a good time to ask basic questions and to discuss how you can start contributing to OpenOffice.org QA.

I suggest we have an introductory IRC QA meeting, to give our new members a chance to try out IRC and talking with us.

Meanwhile, new members, please find and install an IRC client that suits you. The IRC channel for this QA project is:

qa.OpenOffice.org

on the Freenode server: irc.freenode.net

OpenOffice.org's localization community hangs out at channel:

ooonlc

Open one (or both) of those "chatrooms", and say hello. I'll keep my IRC client open, so I might meet you there. :)

No pressure, no expectations, just to try out saying Hello and using IRC. You can say "Hi" and Bye" and disappear very quickly, if you like. People with bad connections come and go all the time. ;)

(I'm at UTC+1030, so I'm more likely to intersect with Asian and other Australian/NZ users, but for a meeting, we can choose a time that will work for everyone, hopefully. Vietnam is close enough at UTC+0700.)

Bye for now. :)
