So we may not want to open a category for Ubuntu only, but for distributions in
general: subcategories matching either generic types of distros or the build
systems can be configured later. What do you think?
I think it's good idea to have any of non-official subcategories. Distributions
have their own
bug tracking systems and they should use them. there is a possiblity that the
same bugs
can be posted to two different bug tracking systems. it's totally nonsense.
There is a "mapping" that exists within launchpad and the other
bugtracking systems, the idea behind being that a bug may affect several
communities/projects, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/bugtrackers/.
The suggestion to use our own system is to centralize the efforts and
help our users to not being puzzled or quartered by all these versions
and bug reports.
Kind regards
Sophie
