This is true, sadly.
I have the same problem with OOo QA and Dev teams.
New comers don't know how to report a bug, tell them (see CC:)
Tell us how to do so, don't let us get tied and go away.
The quality of OOo is not good and it will not be good if OOo treats the
contribution
of the community this way.
