> If you are saying that the factory.createConnection(user, pass) method
doesnt work and this does, then that would likely be a bug that should be
investigated and fixed, but it is not a good reason to add this hack, which I
still dont intend to.

Ok let me see if i can work out why this seems to not be working in the
other project i referenced and see if we can make some kind of reproducer,
agreed, i would also prefer to have this working as it should, just i struggled
the first time to see why it wasn't working where as setting on the CF itself
was. If you have any tips to where it might be causing issue for us to hunt
down please share.

> Since QPIDJMS-542 it possible to provide the url on the context via
> java.naming.provider.url, as an extension / enhancement to this would be to
> support using the jndi context security principle and security context.
> e.g.
> java.naming.factory.initial=org.apache.qpid.jms.jndi.JmsInitialContextFactory
> java.naming.provider.url=failover:(amqps://host1:5672,amqps://host2:5672)
> java.naming.security.principal=myuser
> java.naming.security.credentials=mypassword
>
> Would set the user and password on the connection factory to "myuser" and
> "mypassword"
