I've introduced better contrast between the body and heading text on
IE now.  I have not, however, been able to figure out the problem with
the links starting on new lines yet.

I agree, these are problems worth solving, and I will continue to work
on them.  Should they block the transition to the new site?  In my
opinion, they should not.
