Hi, I am testing the Impala–Ranger integration and I am unclear about the SSL behavior when securing communication between the Impala plugin and Ranger Admin.
Could you please clarify the following: Does the Impala Ranger plugin support HTTPS when communicating with the Ranger Admin service? If HTTPS is supported, is it one-way SSL or two-way (mutual) SSL? If two-way SSL is required or supported, where should the Impala client certificate and truststore be configured on the Ranger Admin side? I currently see messages like “Unauthorized access – unable to get client certificate”, which makes me suspect Ranger Admin may be expecting a client certificate even though one-way SSL was intended. Any guidance on the correct configuration and expected SSL behavior would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
