While we are doing it, let's keep in mind what HDFS also does. They have regex
syntax in core-site.xml to transform kerberos principals into linux friendly
names. If we can do something like that, then it will be good. So we can
address replacing "space" and as well has some other transformation logic.
Another suggestion is what we are doing in tag based policies in Ranger,
someone can extend the policy using JavaScript. If we can support something
like that, then we can provide the default transformations out of the box, like
"space to underscore", etc. But if the user wants to write more sophisticated
transformation, then they can write the script using javascript.
