I have implemented a change locally where I'm caching the widgets on load into
a hashmap in the WidgetRepository. This really helps since the widgets are
"loaded" much more often now after the split but it's not a very elegant
solution. I can commit it for 0.17 and we can improve the solution in the
future if people think it's ok for now.
Thoughts?
