Dear RAVE community,

we are currently working on an intranet portal based on RAVE/Shindig and are
implementing some Open Social gadgets for that (see attached screenshots, up
to now only in German).

We encountered two issues and we are not sure what is the “right” way to do
it.

- Gadgets are written in HTML and JavaScript, but you are usually
fetching some data/prerendered html from a backend system. In our case it is
not quite clear what the backend system is. My guess would be that Rave is
the backend and Shindig is only the data provider, so we are looking for the
“right” way to implement a gadget backend in Rave. I think there should be a
JSP page for that, but we would be interested in seeing a working example.

- We want to provide all labels in German and English based on either
browser settings or user preferences. What is the Rave way of doing that?

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks in advance

René
