What if.....
The render method returned a custom data format and then we have a way to
translate between it and the CRUD model. Even if it required us to retrieve a
value from the CRUD before we modify. It's an extra call, but doesn't require
us to mess with the data model.
I"m not an Angular expert so it might be complicated to do. I guess it would
require you to have two models for essentially the same thing but something to
consider.
