Hey Mentors (or anyone else that knows about this), I was unsure where to ask this, so I thought I'd post to the mailing list..
I keep seeing empty comments by Gord on recent Jira issues I've created. I asked him, and apparently the empty comments are an accident, but more importantly, I understand they resulted from the fact that he (specifically?) needs to approve mailing list messages that get generated from Jira changes (issue creation, comments, etc). I am unsure: Is this usually how things work? Is there a way for me to not need approval (as I am an active committer)? Thanks in advance to anyone that has an idea about this. I plan to poke around myself to see if I can figure it out, but I really appreciate knowing why. I'm a bit confused and also frustrated with the seemingly unnecessary delays that can occur as a result of only one person (?) approving things, especially when we are not actively engaged 24/7 and able to approve such things in a hasty fashion. -- Brent Lintner
