I had a chance to download and verify the signatures. OK.
Noticed the pdf guides are missing from the directory.
Did very minimal testing. Replaced the old webapp dir with the new one and
overlaid the required jars. I did not do a full installation.
Did basic posting and comments. Did not find any new issues.
Verified the basic theme Weblog.vm had the entry references fixed to use the
model.
Verified that the tag counts and day hit counts were showing up.
I'm going to deploy on my personal site later today.

Due to a last minute bug, we had to respin the 3.1 and 3.0.1 builds
and reset the votes.
A new release candidate RC9 for Roller 3.1 is ready.
Here are the changes since RC8:
- Corrected references to legacy $entry variable in three included blog
themes
- Also fixed in all Roller Support project themes at
roller.dev.java.net
- Use Number instead of Integer for SQL sum() results
- I18N fix for "In Category" string in weblog.vm
