So you're saying in our file uploads, to display another column
providing information specific to the type of file (DOC, txt, JPG, PNG,
whatever) created? Sounds doable, but it can be hard to please everyone
regarding the information they would like to see in that column, and if
it can't be done well it's better not to be done at all (for optional
functionality, better to have nothing than have something that looks
ugly IMO.)

For Word document, we could create different tag : author, date, ...
Same principle than text management plugin.
