Hey Rya devs, I'd like to get PR #245 (RYA-405) pulled in. This is a pretty big dependency change, and should probably involve a major version increment to 4.0.0. Could we get a discussion going on the devlist about if we want to support a 3.x branch and a 4.x branch going forward, or just update master to 4.x.
