Hi Gianmarco. To your points:
- We use a filter task per stream subscription so we can forward the right
streams into the right task respectively. The filters are basically chained
with the previous operators so they do not consume additional slots.
- Regarding the performance, did you check roughly how much additional time
it takes on Flink? We had the opposite experience from our side. I can run VHT
with the same settings locally and in EC2 today to double-check and let you
know.
- I will also address all style comments as well and update the PR.
